  • Ringing

    A bell. The alarm is on, and it keeps coming back.

  • Showed up

    The bell turns over. The dot is you, standing up.

  • Missed

    The window passed. No dot, and no shame.

  • Couldn't tell

    A sensor or permission failed. It never counts as a miss.

What counts as showing up

Steps
Your phone's step counter. Shaking it doesn't count.
A run or walk
GPS, by time or distance. Fake locations and car speeds don't count. Afterwards you get your pace, splits and route.
Phone down
The apps you pick stay shut until the focus timer ends.
A tag
A code you stick across the room. Only that exact code stops the alarm.
LeetCode
Problems you solve, read from your public profile.
Gym or a placePro
GPS sees you arrive and stay a few minutes.

Bad day? Hold End today and the reminders stop, recorded honestly. If your phone can't tell, it never counts as a miss. Your alarms, proof and routes stay on your phone.

Install it on Android

  1. Download ShowdUp

    One file, published on GitHub.

    Download the APK

  2. Open it

    Tap the finished download. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then go back.

  3. If Play Protect stops it

    If you see Install anyway, tap it. In some countries, including India, Play Protect blocks any app from outside Google Play that uses Accessibility, which ShowdUp needs to keep apps shut while you focus. To install it before our Play listing opens, pause Play Protect in the Play Store app, install, then turn it back on.

  4. Allow alarms and notifications

    Open ShowdUp and allow what it asks for, so your first alarm rings on time.
